Birds' calls echoed throughout the forest as they prepared to fly Southward. The trees had been blanketed in snow overnight, and the forest glistened with the new frost. Luckily for MoonClan, the majority of the snow had been caught in the abundance of trees, so not much of it touched the ground just yet. A lone figure stalked through the forest, ears perked for any signs of life on the chilly forest floor.
Patchstar opened her mouth again to scent for prey, but once again she was disappointed. Most of the animals must be preparing for Leaf-Bare, as were the Clan cats. The tortoiseshell made a mental note to get some hunting patrols out before the snow set in permanently.
"How does SnowClan enjoy this...?" she fluffed out her fur, her breath catching on the air. Looking up towards StarClan, all she saw was tree limbs that had caught the snow. The stars wouldn't be out at this time of day anyway.
The wind picked up, just a little more than the gentle breeze before. The trees swayed, moving out of the way to reveal a portion of the sky that carried the moon, which was slowly becoming more crescent-like.
"A breeze..." Patchstar blinked, "Risingmoon? Are you trying to tell me something?"
All of a sudden, the wind flurried, snow and fallen leaves flying everywhere before falling back onto the ground--and onto Patchstar.
Though she was no medicine cat, Patchstar had lived long enough to realize a sign from StarClan when she saw one. Immediately, she turned and headed back to camp.
"I need to talk to Breezepaw...There's a storm coming."

Alrighty, here it is! Assignment 17! Since the holidays are coming up you guys will have FOUR AND A HALF weeks to do this one, so it will be due January 5th. I know finals are coming up for some of you, so it won't be too stressful during this time. Luckily I believe most of us have a Christmas break, and I know you'll spend it with family, so as such--only one assignment per person, but you can choose which one you want to do. If you want, you can do more--just because it's not required doesn't mean you can't draw or roleplay more things

Vigils
This one is not required, but all new warriors (Spiceshadow, Jadesnow, Sagedapple, Mistpool, Rockfall and Aspenwing) can show their cats sitting vigil in addition to their other assignment.
Nursery Workers
With the onset of cold, the kits are in danger of sickness and frostbite. Keep them warm!

Apprentice Training
If you have a new apprentice, take them on a tour! If you have an older apprentice, teach them how to fight and hunt in cold weather!
[Both Mentor and Apprentice must sign up for this one, so you'll need to agree and talk to each other!]

Strengths and weaknesses
If you don't want to do any of the other mundane tasks, you can show your cat working on their weaknesses to turn them into strengths - are they not good at climbing, or hunting? Are they clumsy, or can't swim? Are they too small, or too loud?

Leaf-Bare is almost upon us, and snow has finally fallen in MoonClan! As such, a lot of the prey is going to disappear soon, so we'll need to find some to feed the Clan! YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE FINDING PREY, but try to bring back something! Even if you don't, that's okay.
I'll need volunteers for this. You can do this for a second assignment if you want! If no one signs up, there will be consequences, as the Clan will go hungry
